BetMGM Expands Its Reach In Washington, D.C.

In Washington, D.C. BetMGM has launched its mobile sports betting app. The app was limited to a two-block radius around Nationals Park, but now it is available throughout the District. The D.C. Council’s approval of the 2025 budget included a provision to open up the digital sports betting market.
Within a two-block radius around Nationals Park, BetMGM maintains exclusivity and operates the sportsbook in partnership with the Washington Nationals. MGM Resorts and Marriott Bonvoy rewards programs are integrated with the app, allowing users to exchange in-play wagers for experiences at various properties.
Community Investment And Global Expansion
The launch of the app expands BetMGM’s operations in the DMV region, where it already operates in Maryland and Virginia. The expansion is expected to bring economic benefits to the region through job creation and tax revenue.
The company is investing in exciting community programs including the National Cherry Blossom Festival and the Capitol Riverfront Friday Night Concert Series.
The new BetMGM app is available for download on iOS and Android platforms. Users receive first bet offers and can check the app for stock availability.
BetMGM partnered with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, becoming an official betting partner and placing its logo on the club’s training kit. This will give BetMGM a foothold in the UK market and could also promote responsible gambling.
